- Friend: MY GOSH WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS IT'S SO NICE I LOVE IT.
- Me: Want a punch in the face.
Damon: Do you know where you are?
Elena: In the woods.
Damon: And who is that?
Elena: Stefan. Your brother.
Damon: And who am I? Do you know who I am?
Elena: Of course I do. You’re Damon, and I love you.

I love how in just one episode, and a finale nonetheless, two important Stelena arguments were made void.
1) Stefan and Elena should be together because Stefan met her first.
WRONG! Damon met her first. And though that is never an argument I personally would use to advocate for Delena, because, yes, our ship has so much more to offer than simply “meeting first,” that flashback scene was beautiful and voided one of the more common arguments for SE.
2) Using Elena’s quote “It’s always going to be Stefan”
WRONG! Elena herself said in 3x22 “I can’t think about always, all I can think about is right now.” Because Stefan is not her always anymore, and he won’t ever be again. She chose him as her Mr. Right Now and she will, even as a turned vampire, try to make it work with him. But now that she is not human anymore and “always” is actually in her future, she will eventually come to terms that Stefan is neither her always nor her right now. And we all know who her Mr. Always is gonna be ;)
